Coffee as the world drink


Coffee is widely consumed stimulating drink, prepared from the fried seeds usually named coffee beans. Coffee it has started to be used in 9th century when it has been found out in mountain areas of Ethiopia. Therefrom coffee has extended to Egypt, and Yemen, and by 15th century has reached Armenia, Persia, Turkey, and northern Africa. From the Muslim world of coffee has extended to Italy, then in other parts of Europe, Indonesia and America. Today coffee - one of the most popular drinks all over the world.



Berries of coffee which are contained by a coffee bean, are made by several versions of a small evergreen bush of sort Coffea. Two its most popular versions is a human figure with a basket on head Coffea (also known as Coffea robusta) and coffee "arabica" Coffea. They are grown up in Latin America, South East Asia, and Africa. The ripened berries of coffee collect, process and dry up. Subsequently, seeds are fried, being exposed to several physical and chemical changes. They are fried on various degrees, depending on desirable aroma. Coffee can be prepared and presented set of ways.

Coffee played the important role in many societies everywhere on modern history. In Africa and Yemen it was used on religious ceremonies. As a result the Ethiopian Church has forbidden the consumption before domination of Emperor Menelik of II Ethiopia. Also the coffee use was forbidden in Ottomansky Turkey in 17th century for the political reasons, and has been connected with disobedient political actions in Europe.



Coffee - the important export goods. In 2004 of coffee was mainly agricultural export for 12 countries, and in 2005 it was the seventh greatest legal value of agricultural export in the world.

A few contradictions it is connected with cultivation of caffeine exposure on environment. Many studies have shown relations between consumption of coffee and certain medical conditions; whether effects of coffee are positive, or negative are still discussed.
